How to take apart old skateboard bearings and make new.

There is an art to skateboarding, but it’s not a pretty picture if your deck is not up to scratch!!. One thing’s for sure, you need plenty of roll and that takes clean bearings.

TIPS

1) Don’t use WD40, or something like that, because it attracts the dirt, then crunches up the ball bearings. USE – Speed Cream, from Powell. If not I have used oil for hair clippers and that was great!.

2) Deal with each bearing individual, instead, get them taken apart, one, at, a time!. (THE REASON FOR THIS, IS BECAUSE WHEN THE BEARINGS WEAR DOWN, THEY ALL WEAR DOWN THOUSANDTHS OF AN INCH AND THEN THEY ARE TOO LOOSE, OR TOO TIGHT AND DON’T FIT!.

3) If you have an old set and are going to throw them away?. STOP!! – THOSE BEARINGS COULD BE USED AND REUSED!?. HOW?. ANSWER = The BALL bearings might be perfect for going into another
